Can't sleep?
Cody
Yeah, I think I need a moment to calm down from all the excitement. My heart's jumping out of my chest.
Lani
Yeah, I can imagnine. This has been some day. Must be a pretty big deal to you.
Cody
This is my dream, Lani. I can't stop thinking about it. I don't think I blinked once all day. I didn't wanna miss a second. [he and Lani look up] Mr. McMahon thinks you're amazing. He's totally gonna pick you.
Lani
Mm, I dunno. I miss Pen Gu. We've been gone for so long. I can't wait to tell our friends back home about all of this.
Cody
[laughs]
Yeah, they'll never believe it. I wish every day was like this. I feel like I'm finally living the life I always wanted to, y'know? I wish this feeling could last forever.
Lani
[chuckles]
Yeah, well, you still gotta sleep.
Cody
Yeah, in a minute. Let's soak this in a while longer. [falls asleep on Lani, who also falls asleep]

[lands his glider]
Alright!!! Who's awesome? I'm awesome! [sees the team surrounding Chicken Joe] Whoa, what's going on, everyone? [gasps]
Chicken Joe
[wakes up]
The Undertakes saved me from death. Ironic! [faints]
Cody
[confused]
W-Where's your board?
Undertaker
You destroyed it when you bumped Tank into Joe.
Cody
[shocked]
What?! [turns to Chicken Joe] Joe, man, I'm so sorry. I-I didn't mean to...
JC
"Sorry" doesn't cut it, Cody. What the heck were you thinking?
Tank
Yeah, man, why'd I ever do to you? All these years of friendship, and he still... [sniff] He still keeps these-these walls up, and...I don't know how to break 'em down. [fakes crying] I just don't know what to think anymore.
Cody
[scoffs in annoyance]
Are you kidding me, dude? [points at Tank] This guy's been sabotaging me since day 1!

Cody Maverick, you're one bodacious surfer. But even more importantly, a good dude. On behalf of the Hang 5, we'd be honored to have you join us.

[waves his hand in a gesture]

[pause for a moment's contemplation]
Joining the Hang 5 would be the biggest honor of my entire life. But I-I have to decline.

Dude, are you sure?

Yeah, bro, I am. All this time, I thought joining the Hang 5, the greatest surf team on the planet, would make me a somebody, a winner that everyone respected. [turns to his friends] But now I know I'm already a part of a great team, [referring to Chicken Joe] with the coolest chicken of the sea, [referring to Lani] and the best, raddest surfer on Pen Gu.
Chicken Joe
[confused]
Tank? [Lani hugs Cody] Oh, right, yeah.
Undertaker
