[giving directions to the college]
Okay dude, uh, south. No wait, that's uh... I dunno, man, do I look like Magellan?
P.J., you couldn't even spell Magellan.
Try hanging a Louie. Nononono, wait, that's the other Louie.
Louie, Huey, Dewey, what are you talking about here?
Bobby [pointing to the map]
Yo, it's right here; this way.
Yeah P.J., Bobby's right. Uh, hey, Bob, um... Who's driving?
Bobby [speaking with a phony French accent]
Me and a little crumpet like yourself could make beautiful bongo music together.
Whoa, easy boy. You're fogging up my karma.
Hey, you wanna sit with us?
Sure. Your cool balances out [snaps fingers] his fool.
Bobby Okay, whatever...
If I can't even beat my father, who is probably the most athletically challenged man in the universe, how can you expect me to beat the other competitors? We're starting in last place because of me!
Bobby That never stopped us before! You want to give that Gamma geek Bradley the satisfaction of knowing he forced us out?
Bobby You want to let the crowd who once cheered for you cheer for someone else? Especially when that someone else is your old man?!
Bobby Are you gonna be someone else's towel boy?!
[hums a bit at the eggs and bacon-face he made, chortles as he makes the toast, then at the pancakes and waffles on plates]
Did you brush your teeth?
[drinks the milk]
Yeah, Dad.
[snatches the toast]
Yep.
Did you put on clean underwear?
[off-screen]
Come on, Max!
Bobby [Max comes out, tossing his bag on top of the vehicle with Bobby on top]
Whoa! [falls into the vehicle]
Yeah, I have to get there early for freshman orientation, Dad. See ya!
What about breakfast? You need your three squares a day, you know!
Don't worry, we'll pick up donuts on the way! Love ya, miss ya, see you at Christmas, bye! [he, P.J. and Bobby hoot and holler happily]
[calls out to Max]
Don't forget to have some milk with those...donuts! [softly] Good-bye, my little college man. [mournfully enters the house, approaching the stairs before moaning mournfully, walking up. He comes to the top while stopping as he looks inside the now empty bedroom. He sniffles a bit before looking at the ground, noticing a sock with hole on the ground, folds the sock, putting it up before looking at the mirror, noticing something in the reflection. He turns around, looking surprised as he sees Old Stuffed Bear on the bed, walks to it, and sits on the bed before holding Old Stuffed Bear; voice breaking] Gawrsh. [touches Old Stuffed Bear's stomach, which squeaks a bit before he looks around the room, and sobs heartbrokenly and sniffles, cradling Old Stuffed Bear]
Look, I talked to him and laid out all the ground rules: No interfering with the "X" Games practice, no hounding us about schoolwork, no coming into our room unannounced, and no acting like a father, [to himself] especially mine. [normally] He's got his life, I've got my life.
Max's Voice: [echoes] My life. My life. My life.
Bobby Spooky.
[Later, at the place marked "College X-Games" where people are entering, out from the competitors' rink comes Max with some of his friends dressed in blue outfits wearing yellow on their shirts] [amazed]
Ah, this is everything I dreamed it would be.
Bobby This place puts the "rage" in "outrageous." [he bows a bit]
No kidding, it buries what we're used to.
Okay, all right. Just remember, there's nothing here that we can't handle.
[Then they look, noticing the teams wearing black uniforms with red on them]
Oh, I seriously doubt that. We're gonna eat you alive, freshmen.
[dryly]
Oh, Brad, we're quaking on our boards.
VO Voice on Megaphone
Attention! Would Gamma Team One and Team 99 report to the street competition platform.
Hey, guys, that's us. Let's do it to it.
[peeks behind Tank and raises his thumb]
Good luck, son.
[grins a bit]
Yeah, you too, Dad.
[On the commentator box, a dog named Chuck looks at the scenery]
Hey-ho and what do you know? Welcome to the sixth annual College X-Games.
C Crowd
[Max's group begins walking up to the ramp while the familiar faces are cheering wildly, holding banners featuring "Max", "Go, Max" and "We Love Max"]
WHOO!!
Our contestants are gonna spin, twist, lunge and plunge like there's no tomorrow. Today's qualifying round will determine who will compete in the semi-finals. And now, let's see what's happening at our first venue, the skateboarder's street competition from our man on the street, Ken Clark!
KC Ken Clark
[He blows off some dust a bit. He looks carefully at his mic. He listens to the headset on his ear a bit]
Welcome, one and all. Today...
[interrupts]
Thank you, Ken. Word on the street is that there's a new kid in town now who poses a threat to Bradley Uppercrust the Third.
K Ken
That's right, Chuck, and his name is...
