Where the Wild Things Are (2009) as Carol Reaper

View Quote You are now the king, and you will be a truly great king.
View Quote Hey king, watch this. [attempts to flip but hits tree] All right tree, we'll settle this later.
View Quote That’s Douglas. I count on him for everything. If I was stranded on a desert island and could only take one thing, it'd be Douglas. We can share him if you want.

The Last Castle (2001) as Colonel Winter

View Quote [miffed by BG Wheeler's recent inspection of the complex, decides to read a part of Eugene Irwin's case file before the prisoners] Eugene R. Irwin, Lieutenant General, United States Army, in direct contravention of an order to evacuate Burundi by his commander-in-chief"- That is the president, for those of you who do not know -"selected a platoon of men to extract Jackson Ngwe, a local warlord. Disregarding reliable intelligence, General Irwin's reconnaissance team entered the ville at 0300. Eight men were captured and executed." Disregarding reliable intelligence... eight men were executed. What I want you men to understand is what the consequences can be when you choose to follow a man who is motivated solely by his pride. A man who will do anything for one more victory notch on his belt, no matter what the cost, before he fades away.
View Quote [Colonel Winter tries to orient the now-Prisoner Irwin]
COL Winter: I know what you're thinking. Do I salute you, or do you salute me? Well, the answer is neither. My men salute me, of course, and each other according to rank, but there is no saluting within the facility by the general prison population. Well, first things first; are you hungry?
Eugene R. Irwin: No.
COL Winter: Are you sure? Mondays are our Salisbury-steak night.
Irwin: Always a cause for celebration.
COL Winter: [Smiles] Indeed, indeed. [Motions to Irwin] If you'll step over here, I'll give you a general layout of the prison. The building we are in now is the administration building. That building there houses the tiers; that's where you and the other inmates will live. The building next to it is the laundry, where I've had you assigned. [Notices Irwin looking at a dilapidated stone wall in the prison yard] Oh, that is the old prison block wall. That's all that's left from the original prison from the 1870s. I could've removed it, but I thought it was important to keep a sense of history, so I asked the inmates to rebuild it. They seem to enjoy it; it's a matter of some pride now.
[CPT Peretz, the Colonel's aide, knocks on the office door and lets in prisoner Aguilar, who is carrying the warden's dinner tray.]
CPT Peretz: Sir.
COL Winter: Yes, please, on the table there. I personally meet with every new inmate here at the prison, usually downstairs, and I ask them a question: What do you expect from your time here at The Castle?
Irwin: Nothing. Just to do my time and go home.
COL Winter: Perfect. That is the perfect answer.
View Quote [Irwin interferes with the punishment of prisoner Aguilar, instructing him to lower his arm]
CPT Peretz: Prisoner Aguilar, resume your punishment.
Irwin: The punishment is over.
CPT Peretz: Aguilar, I'm warning you.
[CPT Peretz raises his club, ready to strike Aguilar. Irwin grabs his arm, stopping him. Several guards charge over, ready to strike Irwin]
Guard: MAN DOWN! MAN DOWN!
Irwin: You're better than this.
[The guards run into Irwin, knock him down, and start beating him.]
CPT Peretz: Okay, okay! That's enough!
[A siren goes off; a gate opens and COL Winter and a team of guards enter the yard.]
Loudspeaker: All inmates will remain on the ground in the prone position.
COL Winter: Prisoner Irwin. I understand that coming here must be a big adjustment for you. To go from commanding thousands of troops in battle, to having no war to fight and no one to follow you must not be easy. However, I do ask that you learn how things are done around here. I try to set an example for the other men. Saluting is prohibited. Aguilar was saluting; he needed discipline. Surely you understand that.
[COL Winter goes to leave]
Irwin: Sir. May the prisoner speak, sir?
COL Winter: Yes?
Irwin: According to the regulation manual, a punishment begun on the evening shift, may not exceed the following morning's horn.
COL Winter: [considers; exceeding the regulation was deliberate] Prisoner Irwin, you are exactly correct. Thank you, for bringing that to my attention. Captain Peretz?
CPT Peretz: Prisoner Irwin, under no circumstances is an inmate to make physical contact with an officer. You have violated the regulation for the prisoner's code of conduct. And this violation requires discipline.

In The Loop (2009) as General Miller

View Quote General Miller: This is the problem with civilians wanting to go to war. Once you've been there, once you've seen it, you never want to go again unless you absolutely **** have to. [pause] It's like France.
View Quote Linton Barwick: So, welcome to the somewhat engorged session of the Future Planning Committee.
Karen Clark: Yes, Assistant Secretary, on point six, it feels it feels like there's already been an assumption that we're invading. Don't you think that we should discuss the practical implications? I mean, this is, after all, the war committee.
Linton Barwick: Uh, this is the Future Planning Committee.
Karen Clark: Well, unofficially, it is called the war committee.
Linton Barwick: Well, Karen, unofficially, we can call anything whatever we want. (holds up a glass of water) I mean, unofficially, this is a shoe, but it's not, Karen, it is a glass of water. And this is the Future Planning Committee.
General Miller: (holding his own glass of water) Uh, unofficially, this appears to be bullshit.
View Quote Malcolm Tucker: General Flintstone? Was it you? Did you leak PWIP-PIP? I mean, I know you can't fire a gun, but can you use a fax?
General Miller: No, I didn't leak PWIP-PIP, I do everything up-front. I'm not like some creepy little gay mercenary who sneaks around doing other people's dirty work.
Malcolm Tucker: I'm doing my own dirty work. I'm doing my job.
General Miller: No, I think you are doing Linton's dirty work. You're his little English bitch and you don't even know it. I bet if I went to your hotel room tonight, I'd see you down on all fours, with little fish-nets on with him hanging out the back of you.
Malcolm Tucker: Oh, that's nice! That's really tough talk coming from the **** armchair general! Why don't you put your feet up on the pouffe and go back to sleep, why don't you?
General Miller: Look, Tucker, you might be some scary little poodle-****er back there in London, but out here you're nothing. You know what you look like? A squeezed dick. You've got a big blue vein running up the side of your head. See, that's where I'd put the bullet. Only I'd have to stand back, 'cause you look like you'd be a squirter.
Malcolm Tucker: Have you ever actually killed anybody, I mean really?
General Miller: Yeah.
Malcolm Tucker: What, falling asleep on someone? I mean, that doesn't count!
General Miller: [laughs] That's good! That's very good! How about you, pussy drip? Ever killed anybody?
Malcolm Tucker: Maiming is what I prefer. Psychologically.
General Miller: Well, why don't you try and maim me? I'll knock you so hard in the face you'll be shitting teeth.
Malcolm Tucker: Go ahead. I can see the headlines: "Peace-loving General Starts Fight at the UN, Swiss Intervene." I don't know, I'm no expert on spin, but that could hurt your career.
General Miller: Yeah?
Malcolm Tucker: Yeah. Now do excuse me, I've got work to do. [pause] Don't ever call me **** English again.
[Malcolm walks off, leaving General Miller confused.]

View Quote That's it. She's dead. She's been dead a long **** time and nobody gives a shit but you.
View Quote Tom Welles:: I'm gonna kill you, Eddie. I'm gonna kill you, and I'm gonna leave you here just like you left her.
Eddie Poole:: You're not gonna kill me. You don't have it in you. What are you gonna do? You gonna shoot me with you own gun, huh? Registered in your name? You really **** thought this through, didn't you, genius? You're gonna have to dig the bullets outta my head. That'll be nice, huh? Or you could dig a hole. Dig it with your own hands, and bury me in it next to your **** girlfriend. Go ahead. Pull the **** trigger. Well go ahead. What're you waiting for? Go ahead, do it! You ****! What do you want me to do, start crying like a little baby? "Oh, I'm so sorry I killed the little girl." Well, **** you, and **** her! Go ahead! Put me outta my **** misery! Pull the **** trigger! Pull the **** trigger! Do it! Do it!
View Quote Tom Welles:: [on phone] Eddie?
Eddie Poole:: Yeah.
Tom Welles:: I know all about it.
Eddie Poole:: Yeah, you know about what?
Tom Welles:: About that girl. Six years ago. I know what you did to her.
Eddie Poole:: Who is this?
Tom Welles:: You murdered her. You and your friends.
Eddie Poole:: What the **** are you talkin' about?
Tom Welles:: You killed her on film. And now you're ****. You're all ****.
