[Opening lines]
In the beginning, they were just ordinary street rats. Until, they were captured by man and taken to NIMH. The National Institute for Mental Health. They went through experiments. For some strange reason, they become intelligent. They found, they could read. And so they escaped through the ventilation system. None of them would've survived, were it not for that incredible bravery of that great mouse Johnathan Brisby. But alas, he could not save himself. The wisest of creatures, the great owl once said, Johnathan Brisby was the bravest of them all.
Justin Tonight we journey to Thorn Valley, We must leave no evidence that the Rats of NIMH ever existed.
N Narrator
But Johnathan Brisby's widow and her family stay behind in a home they'd always known. The prophet Nicodemus predicted that NIMH will again thrust its evil on the grass and a son of Johnathan Brisby will be chosen to save them.

Justin Yeah, he could be anywhere. So keep your eyes open.
Justin [Justin and the mice sneaks over to the dumpster but Justin blocks Timmy's path]
Hold it.
Justin You stay here and keep watch.
But, I wanna be in on the action.
Justin You're not ready to be a hero Tim.
[gives Tim a whiste]
Don't blow it kid! I mean... you know what I mean.
Justin No buts. You're part of a team. Stay on guard.
Tag along Timmy! That's all I'm ever gonna be! I'm never gonna see any real action! [throws his whistle to the ground]
Justin Almost there! Let's keep it down! Keep it down!
[Justin and the mice climb up to the dumpster]
Justin [Timmy and Jenny are in the Courtroom on trial]
Tim you left your post, you put us all in danger.
Justin You've got to learn to listen, you always think you know better than everyone else.
I know and I'm sorry. But that doesn't change the fact that Jenny can read.
Is that true young lady? Can you really read?
Yes. Look, I've been sent here to find you.
To find us? We don't want to be found. Who would know about us?
My parents to start with.
And who might your parents be?
What?! Well I'll be. Two of the lost six.
Justin That's impossible, they were lost when they escaped from NIMH.
[a flashback comes up showing the lost rats escape from NIMH through the ventilation. The rats landed in the basement and took care of each other. Then the rats were recaptured by Dr. Valentine and his scientist assistants getting caught in a net and being caged up, Dr. Valentine laughs]
No, they were swept away into the ventilation system but they ended up in the basement. They stayed there until the injured got better. Just when they tried again to escape, that's when it happened. They were recaptured by Dr. Valentine.
[the flashback ends and it shows Timmy and Jenny back in the courtroom]
Everything has changed in the labs. Dr Valentine is crazier than ever. My parents and the others sent me to find you, you've just got to help.
I'm afraid you asked too much of us Ms. McBride.
But something terrible is about to happen at NIMH. No one knows what it is. But it has something to do with the next full moon.
What's taking them so long to decide?
Don't worry Jenny. Mr. Ages says good things comes to those who wait.
I can't wait! Do you have any idea what it's like at NIMH? They're living in cages waiting for the scientist to do, who knows what to them. How could you know. I mean, just look at this place. But no one here ever worries about their family. [looks over the balcony and watches the mice playing in town]
Well I do? I haven't seen them since I came to Thorn Valley.
[gasp]
They're here. [Justin and Mr. Ages walks in the room] The answer's no, isn't it?
Justin The council decided that the risk to Thorn Valley was just too great. We can't go.
I guess I'm going to have to do it myself. I'm not going to let anything happen to my mother and father and that's that! [tries to walk out but then, Brutus blocks Jenny's path]
Sound the alarm! Sound the alarm! [runs out of the door and Brutus wakes up]
Yow! What in the name of Nicodemus?
She's gone into the canal! And Tim is with her.
Doh! Get the others! I'll catch them at the bridge! [runs over to the bridge and sees the saltshakers floating and grabs both of them] Okay! Party's over! What? Huh, What the... Well what do you know.
Justin We've got to stop them! For Thorn Valleys sake! Spread out along the canal, they wont get far!
Justin [Justin and the mice run around, meanwhile up in the tree, Tim and Jenny in the basket open the trash can with three helium balloons floating their basket into the sky. And Justin looks at the trash can]
What? Well I'll be.
Um... You sure you've flown one of these things before?
Ah hundreds of times. From the ground.
If we die, I'm going to kill you.
We're not gonna die. We're on a mission.
[They fly high up in the sky]
Don't worry mom and dad! I'll save you! Even Dr. Valentine can't stop us!
I gotta admit. The view is not too shabby.
TA Timmy and Jenny
[are about the kiss, when suddenly, their flying balloons are attacked]
Ahh!
TA Timmy and Jenny
[the flying balloons are attacked again]
Ahh!
[looks up and sees a hawk] [gasp]
Hawk!
[the hawk dives down at the balloons and pops one of them causing Timmy and Jenny to float down fast and Jenny screams. Their basket tips over and Jenny grabs Timmys foot]
Hold on!
[the hawk dives at them again and pops their second balloon and fall faster. Timmy and Jenny screams again]
Hang on!
He's coming! He's coming!
[Then Cecil the caterpillar climbs out of the tree hole and sees Timmy and Jenny falling forward down and sees the hawk diving after them. Cecil screams]
He's after me!
[Then the Hawk pops the third and last balloon and Timmy and Jenny scream. They safely land but Tim's foot gets caught in the vine]
Whoa! What a ride!
I told you! If we die I...
Not for long. [helps Timmy out of the vine and on the ground] Anymore bright ideas?
[the both run in and the hawk dives for them]
Hurry Tim! In there!
[They run in the hole of the tree and the hawk tries to kill them, then Cecil blows the log making awful noise to the hawk and the hawk flies away]
And don't come back! [claps his four hands]
I don't know, and I don't want to know.
Tim, anything around here look familiar?
[They look around the dark forest]
Nope.
We'll never get to NIMH. Before the full moon. My mom and dad are doomed.
[Cecil eavesdrops on Tim and Jenny's conversation]
Poor Martin. Hey! we could look for the great owl. That's what my mom said to do.
[thinks up an idea]
Birds! Bugs! And Beasts! Stir your stuffs! Come and see the great owl! I don't care if you wear flesh, fur, fins, or feathers! You got a problem! The owls the Bible with the answer.
[Tim and Jenny runs over to the tree where Cecil the caterpillar stands. Tim looks up at the tree and climbs up. Cecil grabs Tim's tail with his stick and pulls him down]
Hey not so fast short stuff. The way it works is this. You want something from the owl. You've got to have something for the owl.
How about this. [pulls out his slingshot out of his vest]
A twig? Ha! Where in the forest can you bring a twig? What's next? A leaf? Some dirt? Beat it kid! Go find a nice trap to play in!
The name's Cecil. I'm the owls, spokes bug you might say. You wanna see him, you gotta deal with Ow! Hey!
[steps on his shoe]
The owl! Now!
Easy on the tootsie, tootsie! I've paid good money for this pedicure. In there. Mention my name and you'll get a good seat.
[climbs up the tree]
I'm going in.
Mom! Dad! You're alright! [sees the lost six mice including her Mother and Father inside their cages. Mr. and Mrs. McBride walks over to the bars]
M Mr. McBride
Jenny. You shouldn't have come back. The moon is full tonight, we're all in danger!
Justin We'll have you all out in a second.
M Mrs. McBride
Justin, is that really you?
Justin To the rescue. Let's get you out of here.
[Then all of a sudden Floyd grabs Justin and Brutus. And Muriel grabs 2 more rat crew members]
Gotcha! Ooh I'm so sorry did I startle you!
[opens in the door]
Martin?
Oh no! [runs back to help his friends]
[grabs Jenny's tail]
Three blind mice. See how they shine throughout the device.
Oh man. Why didn't I listen? [walks back but Floyd grabs Timmy by the tail]
Oh no you don't. You'll make a scrum-sics golden neck of here. [throws Timmy into his mouth]
What the? [slaps Floyds back and Timmy comes out of his mouth on the ground] What are you thinking Floyd?
They are going to make such a lovely stew you know. A few carrots and mashing up some greens.
Grr! Floyd! [grabs the rest of the three mice by their tails away from Floyd] A good doctor will make a stew out of us if we hurt any of them!
Merely I don't want to hurt him. I merely want to eat him. ha ha ha!
[singing]
I was far too smart, from the very start. 'Cause our Father came from NIMH. I began to grow, little did he know. I had my own plans from him. He thought I was tame. Ha, Just my little game, until this all became mine!
[Timmy gasps in shock]
What?
[singing]
They all do as I say. No one stands in my way. In my way, everybody here is happy. Or I have them slight altered, I can do as I please. I can change things with ease Horn or hair or fin or feather. [animals honking shrieking and clucking in cage] I control the wind and weather, we can rule the world together. If you come with me.
[singing]
You'll be happy. Oh, so happy, when you come with me. You'll be king of, everything of. All that you can see. Ha, ha, ha, ha! [he puts on the brain shocker device on his head and it torture with electric shock to his normal self] Just say yes, hero! [Timmy angrily pushes Martin]
No! [turns Martin into his evil self]
[singing]
Think what we, two can do. You and me, me and you. Buck yourself up, don't look so sad. We'll have more than dear, old Dad had butterflies and pretty flowers. Sunny skies and super powers, silver streams and fluffy kittens, laser beams and rubble cities.
[furiously]
Dad wasn't crazy!
[singing]
Take you chances while you can. Join in my Master plan, you won't tell me. I'm too blabby, when I'm ruler of Thorn Valley! [thunder crashing]
Justin No!
[singing]
All of it will be mine, everyday will be fine. All the trains will run on time, and they'll be no more wars and crime. And I'll reduce your brain to slime, unless you just say yes. [Timmy gaves a loud fright] You'll be so happy. Oh, so happy, if you just say yes. Oh, poor fellow, mind like Jell-O. Such a nasty mess. Come on in to the greatest kind of life, to the best and the latest kind of life. You'll be happy, nice and happy Perfect happiness. Beyond measure, purest measure. If you just say yes.
[singing]

[Muriel and Floyd are sleeping on the floor]
Roasting rat, rat. Rodent ratatouille.
Surprise! [fires his slingshot at Floyds head]
Ow! Come back! You almost scared me to death!
[Then Floyd and Muriel quickly gets up and chases after Timmy]
Floyd! Floyd! Floyd!
You call yourselves cats? You can't catch me!
[Floyd and Muriel trip on the cord and the tank of water spills on the floor and the cord sparks into a fire]
Now you've done it! Let me at him! Where'd he go?
[They run into the elevator]
Excuse me? Going down? [fires the slingshot at the elevator and hits the button]
Get him! Get him! there he is, Floyd!
[Floyd rips the elevator padding. Timmy runs up the elevator ceiling and the cats jump at him]
Now I have you! Now I have you!
Let me at him! I'll show you how to do it, Floyd! Come on, little mousy! I need that tail to use as a toothpick! Uh, oh.
[Then Tim opens the elevator hatchet door and hits Muriel's face and she lands on Floyd]
Yes! Cecil! Quick! Cecil!
Hold your horseflies I've only got four hands.
[Timmy hooks the elevator gears with a hook]
Hello again!
[the two cats get stuck as they try to get out of the door hatch]
See ya!
[Then the elevator falls down faster with the two cats, who screaming]
I blame you for this, Muriel!
[Timmy swings to the floor]
Hey! Thanks for the hand.
Don't mention it sidekick. How's this for adapt and improvise? Gotta help the others. Let's go!
[They swing over to the open elevator door]

Jenny! Go help Justin and the lost six, I'm going after Jenny. Jenny I'm coming! [runs in the hall while Cecil goes to help the others]

Hero! You escaped. How clever.
Oh, poo! I assure you, electrocerebral enhancement is absolutely painless. Look at me.

Stand still, will you? [attacks Timmy and Jenny with his cane]

[kicks a few books onto Evil Martin]
