It's okay, Ron. It's all right. It-It doesn't matter.

What happened to you?

He just asked Fleur Delacour out. [sets Ron down on the chair]

What?!

What did she say?

No, of course. [Ron groans as he shakes his head; puts her hands on her mouth, shocked] She said yes?

Ron

Don't be silly. There she was, walking by. You know how I like it when they walk. I couldn't help it. It just sort of slipped out.

Actually, he sort of screamed at her. It was a bit frightening.

And what did you do then?

Ron

What else? I ran for it. I'm not cut out for this, Harry. I don't know what got into me.

Pavariti & Padma
[walking past]

Hi, Harry.

Ron

I've always liked looking at them from behind. Oh, she's never gonna forgive me, ever.

[runs after the Patil sisters]

Hey.

The house of Godric Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the Wizarding World for nearly ten centuries, and I will not have you, in the course of a single evening, besmirching that name by behaving like a babbling, bumbling band of baboons.

Ron

Brilliant, isn't he! Completely demented of course. Terrifying to be in the same room with, he's really BEEN there, ya know?

There's a reason those curses are unforgivable, and to perform them in a classroom. I mean did you see Neville's face?

[Reading an article of "Harry Potter's Secret Heartache" on the Daily Prophet; infuriated]

Look at this! I can't believe it. She's done it again. "Miss Granger, a plain but ambitious girl, seems to be developing a taste for famous wizards. Her latest prey, sources report, is none other than the Bulgarian bon-bon Viktor Krum. No word yet on how Harry Potter's taking this latest emotional blow."

Malfoy

Why so tense, Potter? My father and I have a bet, you see. I don't think you're gonna last ten minutes in this tournament. [leaps from the tree] He disagrees. He thinks you won't last five! [laughs]

[irritated]

I don't give a damn what your father thinks, Malfoy! [angrily shoves him] He's vile, and cruel... and you're just pathetic. [Starts to walk away]

Malfoy

Pathetic?! [angrily draws his wand]
"Moody": OH NO, YOU DON'T, SONNY! [transfigures Draco into a ferret] I'll teach you to curse someone when their back is turned! [Proceeds to flick the ferret up and down] You stinkin'...cowardly...scummy...back-shootin'--

[running towards "Moody"]

Professor Moody! Wha-what are you doing?!
"Moody": Teaching.

[shocked]

Is that a... Is that a student?!
"Moody": Technically, it's a ferret. [Proceeds to dump the ferret down Crabbe's trousers, to the delight of Cedric and some other students - Harry included!]

Crabbe

No! [Whimpers as the ferret slips down his trousers]

Goyle

Stand still! Stand still! [Attempts to remove the ferret from Crabbe's trousers, only to be bitten]

Malfoy
["Moody" turns around and winks at Harry, who is laughing gleefully; The ferret crawls out of Crabbe's trousers, and McGonagall turns Draco back into human form] [getting up]

My father will hear about this!
"Moody": Is that a threat?

[Malfoy turns and runs]

Professor Moody--
"Moody": IS THAT A THREAT?!

Professor--
"Moody": I CAN TELL YOU STORIES ABOUT YOUR FATHER THAT WILL CURL EVEN YOUR GREASY HAIR, BOY!

Alastor!
"Moody": IT DOESN'T END HERE!

Alastor. We never use Transfiguration as a punishment! Surely, Dumbledore told you that?
"Moody": [sulkily] He might've mentioned it.

Well, you will do well to remember it. [She turns around before gesturing a group of students gathered nearby to leave] Away!
[as McGonagall walks away, "Moody" sticks his tongue out at her, behind her back] "Moody": [to Harry] You. Come with me.

[describing to Dumbledore about his dream of Voldemort, Wormtail and Barty Crouch Jr.]

It was in the summer, before school. In the dream, I was in a house. And Voldemort was there, only he wasn't quite human. And Wormtail was there too. And (so was) Mr. Crouch's son. [Dumbledore: Have there been others like this dream?] Yes.

He's back! He's back! Voldemort's back! Cedric, he asked me to bring his body back. I couldn't leave him-- not there!

Sounds like the Irish have got their pride on.

Arthur
[entering the tent after seeing what's happening outside]

Stop! Stop it! It's not the Irish. We've got to get out of here. Now.

Man
[The Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione get out of their tent and see all the people leaving their tents and scream in panic as they run for their lives when a group of villainous Death Eaters are attacking the campsite]

GET OUT, IT'S THE DEATH EATERS!

Arthur

Get back to the Portkey, everybody, and stick together! Fred, George! Ginny is your responsibility. GO!

Harry!

[Dumbledore, Barty Crouch Sr., Filch, Igor Karkaroff, and Madame Maxime enter the tent of the first task of the tournament after Hermione encourages Harry to stay focused and to support him]

Good day, champions! Gather around, please. Now, you've waited, you've wondered, and at last, the moment has arrived. The moment only four of you can fully appreciate. [notices Hermione; surprised] What are you doing here, Miss Granger?

Oh, um… Sorry, I'll just go. [leaves the tent]

Barty, the bag.

[holding a bag of dragons]

Champions, in a circle around me. Miss Delacour, over. Mr. Krum. And, uh, Potter, Mr. Potter, over here. That's right. Now… Miss Delacour, if you will. [Fleur sticks her hand in the bag and takes out a tiny green dragon] The Welsh Green. Mr. Krum. [Krum takes out another dragon from the bag] The Chinese Fireball. Ooh… [Cedric takes out another dragon] The Swedish Short-Snout. Which leaves…

[whispers]

The Horntail.

What's that, boy?

Nothing. [sticks his hand in the bag and takes out the Horntail dragon]

The Hungarian Horntail. These represent four very real dragons, each of which has been given a golden egg to protect. Your objective is simple: Collect the egg. This you must do, for each egg contains a clue, without which you cannot hope to proceed to the next task. Any questions?

Very well. Good luck, champions. [to Cedric] Mr. Diggory, at the sound of the cannon, you may…
[Filch fires the cannon prematurely]

Ron
[Last lines; The students of Hogwarts say farewell to the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang schools as they depart, while Harry, Ron, and Hermione watch from the side]

Do you think we'll ever just have a quiet year at Hogwarts?

Ron

Yeah, I didn't think so. Oh, well, what's life without a few dragons?

Everything's going to change now, isn't it?

Yes.

Promise you'll write this summer, both of you.

Ron

Oh, I won't. You know I won't.

Harry will, won't you?

[sarcastically]

Yeah, every week.
[Smiling, arm in arm, the three friends hurry outside to see off the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang schools]

If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.

[encouraging Harry before the first task begins]

The key is to concentrate. After that you just have to... [Harry: Battle a dragon.]

Eternal glory. That is what awaits the student who wins the Triwizard Tournament. But to do this, that student must survive three tasks. Three extremely dangerous tasks.

[revealing the Goblet of Fire from its casket with his wand]

The Goblet of Fire. Anyone wishing to submit themselves to the tournament, need only write their name upon a piece of parchment, and throw it in the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly. If chosen, there's no turning back. As from this moment, the Triwizard Tournament has begun.
