Orion
[D-16 punches Orion out of the way. Then goes back to shoot Sentinel, his cannon charging up.]

[Orion steps in front of his cannon as the blast rips through Orion's chest. D-16 watches Orion's body tumble over the edge of the Well of Sparks. D-16 grabs his hand, Orion dangling over the open chasm.]
No! No, no, no, no...Why?! WHY did you do that?! WHY?!
Orion
[Orion's body hangs, the light in his eyes beginning to fade. D-16's shock grows into anger. Slowly... Succumbing to the anger flaring within him... Orion still flickers with life, just barely.] [weakly]

[D's eyes flicker around, his face obscured briefly as his head lowers. He becomes oddly still, then -- His eyes rise to meet Orion's, red.]
I'm DONE saving you.
[He purposefully drops Orion into the void, the light flickering from his eyes.]

[D-16 tears Megatronus' cog from Sentinel's limp body and holds it up. He turns to address the terrified crowd of Iaconites]

[The High Guard begins the chant.]

[The Primes' ghostly ethereal figures appear, surrounding Orion, overseeing the ceremony.]

[A pulse of Energon emerges... It pulls Orion towards it. The beam of Energon forms a glowing shape... the Matrix of Leadership appears. Meanwhile, B and Elita can only watch in horror as a lot of the High Guard are riled up by their new leader.]
I WILL LEAD US ALL INTO THE FUTURE!

[D-16 replaces his T-Cog with the new one. Energy radiates through him as he begins his metamorphosis; he grows bigger, metal plating becoming jagged as he adopts his iconic appearance. Like an emperor, D-16 proclaims:]
I... AM...
Alpha Trion
[At the same moment -- A gift from Primus himself, floating into Orion's chest. Causing the shredded metal to reform around it, accepting the Matrix. Power flows through Orion, repairing his wounds. He transforms.]
ARISE!
Megatron
[Optimus' eyes flicker open. He shoots up towards the top of the Well. Meanwhile, in the city: Iaconians run for their lives.]
Burn it down! ALL OF IT!
Starscream
[Megatron proceeds to destroy a monument of Sentinel with rapid fire from his fusion cannon as the High Guard members begin attacking Iacon, relishing in the chaos.]
All hail Megatron! [he along with Shockwave and Soundwave begin firing around Iacon]

[Megatron turns to shoot more images when -- Elita latches onto his fusion arm.]

[Elita and B-127 fight Megatron, who overpowers them. He is about to finish off B-127, until Optimus bursts in, pushing Megatron aside. Optimus then lands and stands up. We see him in a new, upgraded body, with the Matrix inside his chest]
Impossible... Primus gave you the Matrix?!
Optimus Prime
We could've built the future together...
Megatron
I'll build it myself... after I tear down everyone IN MY WAY!
[Megatron charges Optimus, who manifests his battle mask. They go to war.]
Optimus
[Megatron falls to the ground defeated. Optimus stands, about as triumphantly as one could imagine, over Megatron.]
We were given the power to change our world, and you chose to destroy it. Just like Sentinel. You have betrayed Cybertron and its citizens. [his faceplate retracts, revealing how truly heartbroken he is over losing his best friend] And you betrayed... me.
Optimus
[Megatron stands up on his own to face Optimus. He scowls as the new Prime avoids eye contact.]
Go. Take the High Guard and leave. [He finally makes eye contact.] You are... banished from Iacon.
Optimus
[The sting of the banishment is read on Megatron's face but he regains his composure.]
It didn't have to end this way.
Megatron
[spitefully]
This isn't over... Prime.
Megatron
[After another brief glare between the two, Optimus stands to one side to allow Megatron to limp away]
High Guard! Follow me!
[Megatron transforms into his tank form and rides away, with the members of the High Guard following him out of Iacon]

[as Optimus watches Megatron and the High Guard leave Iacon City, he remembers the day he (as Orion Pax) first met D-16 during their first day at the mining crew] [D-16 is completing his working place with decorations based on Megatronus Prime]
