Orion: No, you don't. Rebuilding Iacon cannot begin with an execution.
D-16: He deserves to die! Can't you see that?!
Orion: We're better than this. Don't be like Sentinel!
D-16: [whispering in a seethed warning] Pax, you need to move out of my way... before I move you myself.
Orion Pax: D, listen–
[D-16 punches Orion out of the way. Then goes back to shoot Sentinel, his cannon charging up.]
Orion: STOP!
[Orion steps in front of his cannon as the blast rips through Orion's chest. D-16 watches Orion's body tumble over the edge of the Well of Sparks. D-16 grabs his hand, Orion dangling over the open chasm.]
D-16: No! No, no, no, no...Why?! WHY did you do that?! WHY?!
[Orion's body hangs, the light in his eyes beginning to fade. D-16's shock grows into anger. Slowly... Succumbing to the anger flaring within him... Orion still flickers with life, just barely.]
Orion: [weakly] D...no...
[D's eyes flicker around, his face obscured briefly as his head lowers. He becomes oddly still, then -- His eyes rise to meet Orion's, red.]
D-16: I'm DONE saving you.
[He purposefully drops Orion into the void, the light flickering from his eyes.]
