[Elsewhere, Abuela finds the fabric of Mirabel's dress in the thorn of the branch to Mirabel, who was crying at the river where Abuelo Pedro died during the war, sobbing over the death of the miracle and her betrayal to Encanto. Abuela soon finds her soon after.]
Alma Madrigal: [enters; sadly] Mirabel.
Mirabel Madrigal: I'm sorry. I didn't want to hurt us. I just wanted... to be something I'm not.
[Mirabel cries a bit more and Abuela soon sits besides Mirabel at the riverside, where she looks at the river where she lost Pedro]
