[A storm blows up and a gust of wind blows open the castle doors. Maleficent magically appears from the green flames]
Why, it's Maleficent!
Maleficent Well, quite a glittering assemblage, King Stefan. Royalty, nobility, the gentry, and-- [chuckles and looks at the Good Fairies] How quaint! Even the Rabble. [Merryweather charges at her but is held back by Flora] I really felt quite distressed at not receiving an invitation.
Maleficent Not wa--Oh, dear, what an awkward situation. I had hoped it was merely due to some oversight. Well, in that event, I'd best be on my way.
Q Queen
And you're not offended, Your Excellency?
Maleficent Why, no, Your Majesty. And to show I bear no ill will, I, too, shall bestow a gift on the child. Listen well, all of you! The princess shall indeed grow in grace and beauty, beloved by all who know her. But… before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday, she shall prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel...and DIE!

[grabs Aurora]
Oh, no!
S Stefan
[Maleficent maniacally chuckles]
Seize that creature!
Maleficent Stand back, you fools! [disappears in green flames while manically cackling when her crow flies away into the distance]
Maleficent It's incredible! 16 years, and not a trace of her! She couldn't have vanished into thin air! Are you sure you searched everywhere?
M Minion
Yep, yep, uh, everywhere, we all did. [other minions agree]
Maleficent And what about the town? The forests? The mountains?!
M Minion
Yeah, we searched mountains, uh, uh, uh, uh forests, and, uh, houses, and uh- Let me see, uh... and all the cradles.
Maleficent Cradle?
M Minion
Yep, yep. Every cradle.
Maleficent CRADLE?! [to her crow] Did you hear that, my pet? All these years, they've been looking for a baby. [she begins laughing maniacally, leading her minions to do the same, but suddenly goes into a fierce rage] Fools! IDIOTS! IMBECILES!! [shoots lightning bolts at them all, sending them fleeing from the room] Oh! They're hopeless. [sits down] It's a disgrace to the forces of evil. [to her crow] My pet, you are my last hope. Circle far and wide. Search for a maid of 16, with hair of sunshine gold and lips red as the rose. Go, and do not fail me.
Maleficent Oh, come now, Prince Philip. Why so melancholy? A wondrous future lies before you. You, the destined hero of a charming fairy tale come true. [She shows Philip an image of King Stefan's castle, using her staff] Behold, King Stefan's castle. And in yonder topmost tower, dreaming of her true love, the Princess Aurora. But see the gracious whim of fate. Why, 'tis the selfsame peasant maid who won the heart of our noble prince but yesterday. She is indeed most wondrous fair, gold of sunshine in her hair, lips that shame the red, red rose. In ageless sleep, she finds repose. The years roll by. But a hundred years, to a steadfast heart, are but a day. And now, the gates of a dungeon part and our prince is free to go his way. Off he rides on his noble steed-- [shows him walking slowly away on his horse, old and slumped] a valiant figure, straight and tall-- to wake his love with "love's first kiss"...and prove that "true love" conquers all! [laughs wildly and evily]
Why, you, you, y-- [Flora pulls her back into hiding; Diablo the crow hears them, but Maleficent summons him]
Maleficent Come, my pet. Let us leave our noble prince with these happy thoughts. [at the door] A most gratifying day. For the first time in sixteen years, I shall sleep well. [she leaves; Diablo eyes the door suspiciously]
[Flora, Fauna and Merryweather fly in]
Shh! No time to explain. [they magically break his chains and he gets up to leave] Wait, Prince Philip. The road to true love may be barred by still many more dangers, which you alone will have to face. So arm thyself with this enchanted shield of virtue, and this mighty sword of truth, for these weapons of righteousness will triumph over evil. Now come, we must hurry.

TG Three Good Fairies
[Aurora came climbing up the stairs and she kept on walking as the orb came flashing through every passage in the secret passageway.]
ROSE!
[Aurora kept walking up the stairs when she approached an open doorway where the orb stops and transforms into a spindle as Aurora opens her finger out to touch the spindle.]
Rose!
[echoing]
Don't touch anything!
Maleficent [Aurora pauses as she can hear Merryweather's voice from outside the doorway]
Touch the spindle. Touch it I say!
Maleficent [Aurora pricks her finger on the spindle thus fallen into a sleep like death as the fairies arrived and gasped as Maleficent stood before them.]
You poor simple fools. Thinking you could defeat me! Me! The Mistress of All Evil! Well, here's your precious princess!
[Pulls her robe to reveal an unconscious Rose lying on the floor and the fairies realized that Maleficent's curse is now completed. She cackles as she vanishes from beyond the green flames.]
Rose!
Oh, I'll never forgive myself!
We're all to blame.
[In that moment, the sun starts to hide on the west.]
Maleficent [That evening, Prince Phillip is seen riding on his horse, Samson heading to the cottage as he whistled to Once Upon A Dream. They arrived a few minutes later as Phillip hopped off Samson and rushes to the door with his hands clasped around him showing Samson some three cheer luck. Samson with a smile on his face nodded his head thinking his master is a winner. Then, Phillip knocks on the door.]
Come in.
[Phillip enters inside the house and see that the cottage was dark when the door slammed shut by itself and he was ambushed by Maleficent's goons. Maleficent watched in delight with a look of an evil glee on her face as Phillip struggled to be set free. Diablo cawed in delight as well when the goons finally tied and gagged Phillip. Maleficent smiled as she grabs a candle and lights up to see Phillip being tied up after being thrown into the wolves.]
Maleficent Well, this is a pleasant surprise. I sent my trap for a peasant and BLOW! I catch a prince! [cackles] [to her goons] Away with him! But gently my pets. Gently! I have plans for our royal guest.
FF Flora, Fauna and Merryweather
[Meanwhile, the 3 good fairies are in a race against the clock to try and get to the cottage by traveling through the woods and through the lake. They arrived and shrink back to their larger size where they were too late. Phillip was gone and they see his cap lying on the floor.]
MALEFICENT!
And she's got Prince Phillip!
[Flora then remembered the once place where Maleficent had taken Phillip]
At The Forbidden Mountain.
But we can't.... We can't go there!
